PROJECT 04 · Global commerce platform

Ecom Global — an AI-first operating system for worldwide ecommerce dominance.

Ecom Global was built to do what Pattern and other global-selling tools only promise: run a 100M+ product catalogue across 20+ marketplaces and 13+ carriers — with AI automations that actually list, price and ship on their own. We partnered with the team to design and build every layer of the product, from the marketplace connectors to the AI listing engine.

Highlights of the Project

1. Built to scale to 100M+ products. The catalog, pricing and listing pipelines were designed from day one for tens of millions of SKUs across every marketplace a brand might care about.

2. 20+ marketplaces, one control plane. Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, eBay, Flipkart, Meesho, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Temu, SHEIN, NewEgg, Wayfair, Noon, Lazada, OnBuy, Mercado Libre, Faire, Bonanza, Mirakl, Fruugo — all connected from a single Connectors page.

3. AI-first, not AI-added. Listings, titles, bullets, category paths, SKUs and product images are generated with AI the moment a product enters the system — per marketplace, per country, per brand voice.

4. A better global-selling tool than Pattern. That's the internal benchmark the team set — and we helped them beat it on speed, depth and honest pricing.

Ecom Global connectors grid with 20+ marketplace integrations

Connectors · 20+ marketplaces

Every marketplace a brand might care about — in one place.

The Connectors page lets an operator plug in Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop, Mercado Libre, Mirakl, Faire, Flipkart, SHEIN, Temu and more — each with its own credential schema, rate-limit model and order lifecycle.

Under the hood, we built a marketplace abstraction layer so adding a new channel is a configuration job, not an engineering one. Credentials, webhooks, polling cadences and retry logic are all handled generically.

Ecom Global stock and price automation rules

Vendor → Marketplace automation

Stock and price automations that finally take pricing off people's plates.

Every marketplace has its own quirks — currencies, duties, shipping bands, B2B discounts, commission tiers. Ecom Global's Pricing Formula lets the team compose a repeatable rule: Vendor Buy Price + Duties + Shipping + Commission + Profit + Buffer, and push a recalculated sell price the moment inputs change.

Stock-change rules (zero-out thresholds, push triggers) and price-change rules (threshold %, on-sync recalculation) run per-marketplace, per-country. No more overnight spreadsheet updates.

Ecom Global AI content and branding settings for new product listings

AI Listings · per marketplace

Listings that write themselves — in the right voice, for the right marketplace.

For every marketplace on every country, the team can configure AI content rules: brand tone of voice, keywords to include or avoid, compliance notes, theme colors, title length, description type, and even a dynamic SKU format with tokens like {VENDOR_PREFIX}-{VENDOR_SKU}.

The result: a new product uploaded once becomes 20+ polished listings in the right language, in the right format, for the right country — all without a human copywriter in the loop.

Ecom Global AI category, bullets and image generation configuration

AI generation · fine-grained control

AI that works — because operators get to tell it exactly what to do.

Category paths, bullet points, image prompts and API field toggles all live in one place. Operators can override any field per marketplace, choose image aspect ratios, lock specific model prompts for "main image / lifestyle / infographic" positions, and expose exactly the fields a given marketplace API cares about.

This is what makes the platform work at 100M+ products: intelligent defaults everywhere, surgical overrides anywhere.

Ecom Global shipping master with 13+ carriers including USPS, UPS, FedEx, Asendia, ePost Global

Shipping Master

Cross-border, last-mile, regional — one rate-card engine.

13+ carriers live on day one — USPS, UPS, FedEx, Asendia, ePost Global, Ship Global (First Flight), Bombino Express, LaserShip, OnTrac, China Post and more. Each is tagged by type (cross-border / last-mile / regional / domestic / international) and mapped to the countries they cover.

Warehouses, routes and routing rules tie into the same layer, so an order coming in from Amazon CA can automatically flow to the cheapest eligible last-mile carrier in seconds, not hours.

01 The Client

A global-selling platform built by operators who'd outgrown Pattern.

Ecom Global is a commerce platform for serious global operators. Their mission statement on the sidebar says it all: "Sell Everywhere." They came to us with one benchmark — build something meaningfully better than the internal global-selling tool their team had used at Pattern — and they wanted it AI-first, not AI-bolted-on.

02 The Challenge

Three problems that break every would-be Pattern killer.

Scale without sacrifice

Handling 100M+ products means every list, search, sync and AI call has to stay fast — and cost-efficient — at catalog scale. Naïve implementations would have collapsed by 10M.

Heterogeneous marketplaces

20+ marketplace APIs means 20+ authentication models, 20+ schemas, 20+ idiosyncrasies around taxes, duties, variants and image requirements. Building a single, clean mental model was non-trivial.

AI that's controllable, not magical

Operators needed to be able to override any AI decision for any marketplace, any country, any SKU — without fighting the system.

03 Our Solution

What we shipped — one control plane, five decisive wins.

  1. Marketplace abstraction layer Pluggable adapters per channel — adding a new marketplace is a config + adapter job, not a rewrite.
  2. Pricing formula engine Recalculates sell prices from vendor buy price, duties, shipping, commission, profit and buffer — per country, per marketplace.
  3. AI listing generator Per-marketplace branding context, SKU templating, theme colors and image prompt positions.
  4. Shipping master Carrier types, country coverage, rate cards and routing rules — orders find the cheapest eligible route automatically.
  5. Role-based SaaS shell Org-level tenancy, audit logs and automation activity feeds — built for real operators.
04 The Outcome

The Pattern benchmark — beaten where it matters most.

AI-firstNot AI-bolted-on

Ecom Global now runs a production-grade global-selling platform that stands up to the Pattern benchmark the team set for themselves — and, in the areas that mattered most (AI-native listings, honest pricing, carrier breadth), goes further. The 100M-product scale is no longer a target on a deck; it's a design assumption baked into the platform.
